Alton Towers have revealed the above mock-up of the Sonic themed room launching alongside the Sonic Spinball ride at their hotel this weekend with a brief summary on their website of what it features.
Spin into the universe of Sonic The Hedgehog in his amazing new themed room. Stay in the famous game level of Green Hill Zone, practise your video gaming skills in the dedicated gaming area with Sonic game library, hunt for the Chaos Emeralds and test Sonic facts!
SSMB member Casanova has been in contact with Alton Towers regarding the room and managed to grab the following info from their customer service team –
– The room number is 312
– Prices start at around £300-£350 per night! And that doesn’t include breakfast/dinner/park tickets.
– Console/s to play the Sonic game library on have not been decided yet.
– There is no virtual tour on the site because the room is not finished yet.
Thanks to Casanova at the SSMB for the heads up.
Will you be booking some time at the Sonic room? Let us know in the comments.
£300-350 A NIGHT?!
…Well damn O_o;;;
I’m guessing they won’t accept rings as a currency then…?
That’s…. VERY expensive.
SEGA needs more money to post motobugs.
@Brad Flick: Hahaha, nice one.
How much is that in US dollars?
I plan on going to europe one day and would seriously like to stay here and ride Pinball Wizard, I mean Spinball whizzer, I mean Sonic Spinball.
£300 is roughly $470. But once you pay park price entry fee all rides are free.
I was actually thinking about doing this for my birthday, but nice to know that for the same price for one night I could get a full week away at other places. The fact that price doesn’t even include park tickets is laughable
Beind unemployed rules….
@ casanova
alright. thanks man
OUCH. That’s my stay out of the window for a while then…
Not even including park tickets or food?! That’s a bit stingy. :S
I’ll still be going to ride the coaster though. 😀

Sonic’s response to the high price of the room. lol
probably for a REALLY special occasion, like my 21st, or even my long off 40th XD
I think I may have to double check the park tickets thing to make certain. I didn’t handle the park tickets side of it someone else in my party did, I just had to ring up and confirm the booking and a few other things.
Reason why I don’t think it includes park tickets, is that from past experience you can find much better offers around for tickets for the Merlin group.
Hope that places manages to stay open, cus it just made my “places to visit before I die” list 🙂
No, the price is right unfortunately, as I have booked into the room for the first night the general public can actually book it on the 20th of March. It ain’t cheap, I know, but as they say…”when in Rome”.
Charles Hamilton’s gonna be all over this.
@T-Bird you lucky dawg.
I hope us guys get to see it on Friday. I gotta finds me some emerawwwwllllds.
£300 = $469.98, according to Google
One night at the Bellagio in Vegas costs less… is anyone seriously going to blow their money on this?
