Microsoft Gives ASR ‘Feb 2010 Family Game of the Month’ Title

It would seem Microsoft have got alot of faith in SEGA and Sumo Digital’s Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing. Not only do they give the game Avatar support and Banjo-Kazooie a playable appearance, they’ve now given it February 2010 Family Game of the Month title. The Xbox 360 edition maybe be getting some exclusive downloadable content according to a leak on the game’s website where that piece of info was quickly removed.

Will Microsoft and their studio Rare’s contribution’s pay off? We’ll have to wait and see when the game is release Feb 23 in the U.S. and Feb 26th in Europe.

  2. Microsoft must be really desperate to get some casual gamers.

    *waits for more ASR info*

  3. Sounds desperate. When I think 360 players I think teenage boys who aren’t really into the idea of playing with Mom. Add in the fact Micro didn’t start the whole “Family Games” thing until recently doesn’t help much. I’m not saying people won’t buy the way you said, but it won’t make much of a difference. I can only see the 360 version selling better because it’s a better deal in a sense. I’m not trying to start anything, I’m just saying what I think will happen (which is probably wrong).

If anything the more family oriented console would be the wii verison,
to a casual gamer that stupid motion wheels gonna look like the best thing invented since sliced bread.
