Fox Gungrave from fellow Sonic fan site Eversonic was recently invited by SEGA France to playtest all 4 console versions of Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing and was given screenshots from the PS3, Wii and DS versions of the game aswell as pictures of some old and new artwork.

So we have a fat cat riding a giant frog, a girl obviously under the legal age riding a motorcycle, a boy rolling atop a giant egg and a fat man in a monster truck… odd.

Anyway, I must admit I was only interested in getting myself the ps3 version, but after seeing how snazzy those wii screens look I’m having second thoughts.
Graphics look amazing.. even for good old low res wii =D

The PS3 screens look hella jaggy, and the shadows look odd. Very different quality compared to the Ryo Hazuki screens.

I thought it was a piranha bot at SoS? I know it homed in on the opponent like a rocket. I’ll have to see if there are any screens or YouTube footage from SoS.
I read the preview, and at the last page where Fox is interviewing Craig, he asked if there would be more Sega All Star titles and suggested a Sonic the Fighters genre and Craig responded ‘Why not, we discussed it not later than last week’

The DS version is not as good as I expected it to be. I have DS, but I doubt I’ll get that version.
The Wii version looks awesome. That’s how I hope the next 3D Sonic game looks like.
