SEGA have unveiled some new screenshots via GameWatch for upcoming Wii and DS title Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. Included are some skiing and hockey screens for Wii, some bobsledding, skiing and snowboarding screens for DS together with a couple of screens of the DS’s exclusive Adventure Mode. One of the Adventure Mode screenshots displays the new character interaction with Toad talking to Sonic while the other shows some top down style gameplay with a typical RPG type HUD. It looks like you can switch between playing as Mario and Sonic by tapping the X button.
We’ll keep an eye out for any future media and info released for the game, in the meantime check out Mario & Sonic showing off at this years E3

Looks like they finally added a story mode, if only for the DS! This gives a reason to buy the DS version!

They should use that Sonic model for an all 3D (environment, still played in 2D) Rush Unleashed.
…But if not, they should still keep it around for another non-Mario & Sonic game.
omg an adventure mode for the ds!!! I am so excited as soon as i but the wii version i am going to invite my friends over and we will have a sonic winter olympics party!!!!

And a DS Adventure Mode? That looks like Sonic Chronicles and has Sonic, Mario AND snow in it: three things that go together well?! I’M THERE! 😀
Seriously though, it’s looking good.
It’s nice they’re making an adventure between Sonic and Mario. We still need a real epic adventure, though. One that has both universes merged, or something. Sonic Rush the right way. (LOL)
