Dodgy Sonic Costumes On eBay

Dodgy Sonic Costumes On eBay

soniccosplay

I’ve seen some Sonic cosplay in my time.  It’s not the prettiest sight, I can assure you.  The only time that I haven’t been afraid for my well-being by someone in a Sonic costume is at SEGA-sponsored events.  The costumes that have been found by UK Resistance are not in the latter category, as they will surely make the young ones pee multiple pairs of pants.  Expect them to be followed home from school by a man in one of these costumes.

Every Sonic character that has seen some game time in the past decade is available at the eBay seller’s store, all of them horrifying.  Doofy-Mouth Sonic will give me nightmares.  So, too, will Arms-Joined-At-The-Cheeks Amy and Middle-Aged Rouge the Bat.

Why, oh, why did they decide to take pictures of the costumes in an abandoned warehouse? Hibblie-jibblies.

  1. They actually have quite a few different costumes as well, including Cream, Silver, Shadow, Mighty, Wave, Espio and Blaze. Yeah, it’s a lot.

  2. “Sonic Cosplay for Pedophiles on Ebay” changed to ”Dodgy Sonic Costumes On eBay”

    I C WAT U DID THAR

Anyway… can’t be cheesier than the costume my grandma made for me when I was 5. I wonder where it is…

  3. Yeah, I saw these a coupla weeks ago. The Espio costume has his horn where his nonexistent nose is. Some of the costumes are pretty cool in my opinion. It is next to impossible to cosplay as a Sonic character. It’s just that the costumes here have serious accuracy problems, and they are really expensive. I was thinking about doubling one of the sonic costumes with a corset to wig people out, but then the fact that I would have been wearing a sonic costume would have weirded them out enough.

  4. HOLAS: ™

i don’t think it should be too hard to make a good sonic costume, there are good chocobo costumes out there, and another bunch of furry things ( wich i can’t remember ATM)….. why sonic should be too different, or to hard compared compared to that =/

anyways i must say the tails one isn’t too bad…. the sonic one…….. ugh………

  5. I can give ’em credit on the Tails costume and, uh, the head of the Cream costume, but everything else is rather scary to look at.

They’re all so inconsistent too, lots of effort is put on some parts and the rest of the costume just half assed – and some are made of completely different materials than others so the “fur” looks more like MC Hammers trousers. :p

And yes, they are overly expensive too. How this person expects to make money with such little effort is beyond me.

  6. Some of the heads are quite well done, but other than that…

You see, this is why I’ll be dressing the way I’m dressing at SOS09. It’s basically impossible to dress as a regular Sonic character. The proportions can’t be copied properly. (imarafan, most furry costumes weren’t based on Mickey Mouse. That’s kinda important to remember.)

Of course, the best costume there happens to be the Cream the Rabbit one. Honestly, that’s pretty good considering who they’re trying to replicate.

  7. I have to say, dispite the rediculously large dress and the rickly legs, the Cream costume isn’t…too bad.
The Shadow costume scares me a little, and Tails looks like a freakin munchkin XD

  8. the best Sonic costume was on the guy at TGS on the Crush 40 live performance. Cause it was official.
    All other cosplays sux.
