Rumour: New GBA Sonic Games in Development?

We’re hearing of some crazy rumours right now of two new Sonic games in development for Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance.

According to both TSSZ and Sonic HQ, people with knowledge of SEGA’s plans have said that a couple of spinoff titles are being planned for the GBA to follow up on Sonic Advance’s success. We only have names at the moment – ‘Sonic & Shadow’ and ‘Chao Racing’.

The first could be some sort of 2D version of Sonic Adventure 2, but Chao Racing sounds pretty obvious to us. According to the leaker as well (who calls themselves ‘Toad’, says SHQ), there will be a Virtua Fighter RPG and a Daytona USA game shown at E3 2002 as well.

We’d take all of these with a huge pinch of salt, because it’s likely that they’re not real. If they do turn out to be legit or bogus though, we’ll let you know!
