Looks like Xbox-owning Phantasy Star Online players will get something a little extra when the online RPG releases later this year. According to a report from TSSZ, Episode I & II will support Xbox Live’s voice chat system in addition to the usual text communications available on the Gamecube version.
Eyewitnesses tell TSSZ that the voice chat system only seems to be usable in the actual games (we’re guessing this means, during dungeon crawling) and not the lobby (whether this means main game menus or when roaming around Pioneer 2, is unknown).
The game hits the US on Gamecube and Xbox this coming fall.
