The good kind of ‘fate’, of course. I decided to take a break from updating TSS, and leave the site alone for the next couple of months. I mean, I love building websites, but I consider my GCSE grades to be of the highest priority. Sega Officially Confirms Microsoft Xbox Release Slate

Looks like the rumours were true – SEGA has formally announced this week that they will be bringing eleven titles to Microsoft’s Xbox. They revealed four such titles during this announcement, which involve sequels to some classic SEGA properties. ChuChu Rocket GBA Box Art Revealed

Sonic Team’s kooky puzzle game, ChuChu Rocket, is getting a re-release on Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance. And Sega has revealed the packshots for the game in both North America and Europe. Hackers Spoil PSO Event, Doesn’t Stop Sonic Team Winning Awards

The upcoming Spring 2001 Tokyo Game Show event will be the venue for a big SEGA announcement that will see a list of games planned for Microsoft’s Xbox, according to IGN. Sonic Adventure 2, PSO Demoed at GDC 2001

Not exactly earth-shattering news, but IGN is reporting that SEGA is showcasing demo versions of Sonic Adventure 2, Phantasy Star Online and a number of other Dreamcast titles at the Game Developers Conference 2001. No new information was gleaned from these appearances, but it does show that the House of Sonic is still supporting its final console even as it pushes towards third party publishing. Only a few more months to go until SA2, folks!

SAGE 2: Complete Coverage

It’s time for the opening of the second ever Sonic Amateur Games Expo. I felt a bit silly for missing the show six months ago, so I thought I’d give you full coverage this time around. And, to tell the truth, I’m glad. SAGE 2 was a lot more successful than its predecessor – although a technical hitch did occur during this year’s show, by and large it was a barnstorming success.

TOKYO, March 16 (Reuters) – Sega Corp said that its outspoken president Isao Okawa, who recently grabbed media headlines for his 85 billion yen ($695.7 million) private donation to the struggling gamemaker, died of heart failure on Friday. Phantasy Star Online ver 2 Dated for Japan, New Modes Revealed
