Stealth is the master of bomb-dropping. To list a few, he has ported Tweaker’s Sonic 1 Megamix hack to the SEGA CD, tricked morons with news tips, and released a port of Sonic 1 for the Game Boy Advance that doesn’t suck. At this year’s SAGE though, Stealth has outdone himself. His long-time project, Sonic: Project Mettrix, has been successfully been ported to the Nintendo Wii and Sony Playstation Portable.
Project Mettrix uses Stealth’s “E02 Engine,” a multi-platform game development tool for 2D games. Mettrix has been around for quite some time, but it is really flourishing with the E02 treatment. Now, you can play and create custom levels for Mettrix on your Wii and PSP.
Those with homebrew enabled Wiis should download this game right away and experience this momentous occasion.
It seems like the news is even better than this–The E02 engine itself has been ported. That Megaman fangame is also available for Wii and PSP. This is awesome.
So will this be avalilble for the homebrew channel?
Sorry, but I’m not very good at this stuff, so if someone could tell me how exactly I can put this on my PSP that’d be great.
Um… sorry but I’m not gonna get it…
@Future – I believe so although I haven’t tested it myself as I have a small SD card.
@Sinikdude750 – You need to have custom firmware running on your PSP.
@Golden~Hedgy – Cool story, bro.
Aw dang, I thought it was an official game up for grabs at the Wii shop 🙁
Another good reason to probably get myself started on getting homebrews working on my Wii
There’s absolutely nothing around this website or on the files I downloaded that tells me how to do this, and I have my Homebrew Channel installed. If this is able to read on the Wii, they sure as hell are keeping that a secret because I can’t find any helpful info here.
Never mind. I got it to work. Download the file, extract it all to one folder, and put that folder into the apps folder of the SD card that is already prepped to work with the homebrew channel.
Cool! I am totally doing this!
