Sonic Movie 2 Filming Continues in Hawaii, Snow Landscape Revealed in Set Photos

Even though filming has wrapped over in Vancouver, work on the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Movie seems to be continuing in Hawaii, with new set photos suggesting that filming will be taking place today in rather… contrasting climates.

According to Reel News Hawaii, filming is to start in Ko’Olina with a set design that suggests a snowy forecast. Cheeky photos taken by the Twitter account shows a number of shoots decorated in white landscapes – check them out below.

What could it mean? Well, we know that Knuckles features in the Sonic movie sequel, so perhaps – with this being shot in Hawaii and all – this could be a landscape from the Angel Island? Maybe this is our first look at Ice Cap Zone. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves.

Time will tell what purpose these shoots are for, as filming work on the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Movie comes to a close. Check out Reel News Hawaii’s original tweet below – and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
