I got to read through the entire issue, and holy hell, could someone just kill Phage on the spot, please?
It’s just one of those villains who really annoy the hell of of you and makes you wish the hero just beats the crap out of them already.
I’m really happy that these stories keep playing with the concept of death, even being targeted to kids and people of all ages.
It was wonderful how death affected the characters and helped them grow and develop in older comics and even in some games, would love if they keep that tradition with recent comics, I’m not talking about making them overall grim and gritty but to play a balance of light heartness, comedy, action and tragedy in the same stories.
Oh look they recycled the story of Gerald, Maria, and Shadow, only Ellidy failed miserably. Great job guys. *sarcastic clapping*
I fail to see it. Can you explain how so I can possibly agree or disagree with you?
Gerald created Shadow the Hedgehog as a cure to Maria’s NIDS (lethal).
Ellidy created Nicole to preserve the conscious (essentially save the life of) Nikki.
Both are “scientist creates a sentient entity to save an ill relative.”
The difference lies in who failed and who succeeded.
Mainly my scorn comes from the fact that the cliffhanger at the end of the last issue lead me to believe there would be a far more complex story here. I’m just really disappointed with the result that they’re recycling a concept already covered and that Phage is just another extension of the Eggman Empire.
Hm. Yeah, that makes sense actually.
I liked this issue…..is there a problem with that?
Not at all! I enjoyed it myself. I think Champions and The Ultimate Betrayal are much more interesting though.
Nope, I’m happy you like it. I just don’t myself.
I’m just a very critical person and like to express it, so people who pursue careers in writing get a good idea of what types of mistakes are easy to fall into so they can avoid them. In addition, I think it provides an opportunity for established writers to hone their skills. After all, no one improves without criticism.
I respect your opinion, no worries!
Good to know! 🙂 Not everyone on the internet is so understanding.
Calling it now – Phage turns out to be Nikki’s ‘darker side’ of her digital conciousness.
