The English voice actors have just been revealed in the above new video of the story ending in Sonic Free Riders for Xbox 360 Kinect. The full credits sequence is featured in the video from the 09:48 mark and at the 10:54 mark you can see the full English voice cast.

If I get this game, I’m going to do a drinking game everytime Sonic says Ready. But I do like Shadow’s voice. Jet, voice sond like someone other character but I can’t put my finger on it.

I like the idea of the throwback to Sonic CD there… but overall that was a rather dissappointing ending.

BoyleVoices said to do this recording he had to take the game into a small room where he didn’t have much space between himself and Kinect, so Kinect was confused and kept thinking he was readying a boost. That’s why you see Sonic’s foot keep attempting the first motions of a kick boost and why he keeps saying “Ready?”.

Wally Wingert was the voice of one of the Tallest, he was Almighty Tallest Red.
I’m liking the new voices, Shadow needs to speak slightly quicker, the long pauses are too distracting, but I like them.
But the game does look like shit, but like anyone is shocked by that. And these “cutscenes” are worse than the ones in Secret Rings. Remember when Sega said they were treating Free Riders like a proper 360 title? I look forward to seeing cutscenes like that in the next HD Sonic game.
“Free” is kinda sweet, suprised that Jun Senoue wrote the music for it.

4KIDS CAST ARE MUCH MORE FITTING TBH :/
Yeah, I havn’t unlocked Silver or Blaze, yet…do they have like, re-used clips, or new voices?
My opinions:
Sonic – BETTER. So much better. I never like Griffith’s Sonic voice.
Tails – I like it a lot. I also liked Amy Palant but Kate Higgins is a lot better.
Knuckles – Dan Green with better acting, and sounds younger. Pretty nice.
Shadow – Kirk is using the wrong voice. He’s using his Kisame voice rather than his Saix voice. The Saix voice would’ve fit Shadow better.
Rouge – Words can not describe what an improvement this is…
Amy – Minnie the Hedgehog… enough said. It fits somehow though…
Cream – Better. Rebecca Honig was WAY too forced.
Vector – Still sounds dumb, but a lot better than Carter Cathcart and Dan Green
Jet – PRAISE THE HEAVENS MY EARS ARE SAVED!!!!! Griffith made me want to take a cheese grater to my ears…
Wave – I liked Bella, but I love Kate.
Storm – Less tough, more dumb. It fits I guess.
I’m waiting to hear the rest of the voices for Blaze, Silver, and whoever else is in the game.

Okay, although I likely won’t be buying this (unless ported to Wii/PS3 at $30) I think the music is fantastic… at least in the level above racing against Metal Sonic. To be honest, That’s the first song I’ve liked from the game so far… The “In the wind” theme is pretty bad I think. In fact the first Sonic Riders had my favourite tracks. Sonic looks and sounds good at a rave… Not a common bar.
Also, the gameplay looks fairly good. I like the voice acting but I did prefer the animated cutscenes, however awkward. Despite my general approval of the game. I WISH Sonic and the other “speed” characters would DITCH the hoverboards… I mean, they obviously don’t need them at all. WTF
PS: Buy Sonic Colours instead if you’re on the fence of decision! 😉
Wow, All the voices sounded great except Sonic’s and Shadow’s. For some reason, as soon as Shadow started talking, the image of a disgusting toilet came into my head. I like that Vector is in it, but I am not so sure how much i like him with Team Rose. I thought maybe he was just being nice to Cream so he could get with her mom. Anyway, the “ready” thing is a tad disappointing that they would let that slide. Don’t they have any quality assurance?

Just looked up Kirk Thornton. I have to say, even though I haven’t heard the voice, I’m pleased with the actor. Not only is he highly respected (it said he has the most credits for a male voice actor aside from one person), but I’ve heard his voice before. Shikaku from Naruto, anyone? XD
You know, I might just consider getting this game now…I’ve been hearing positive reports on Kinect, I’m getting a new 360 which supports it in December…So yeah. And no, I’m not just getting it because I like Shadow (I’m NOT a rabid fan girl. I don’t freak out if his voice is a little different…If it was like, super squeaky I’d have something to say about it XD). Who knows? Looking like a total idiot playing the game might be a lot of fun! 🙂

At the same time, Roger Craig Smith is Deidara of the Akatsuki, Kate Higgins is Sakura Haruno, Travis Willingtom is Zetsu of the Aktsuki and Jugo of Hebi/Taka (the team Sasuke forms).
Yeah, before the voices could relate to Chaotix, YuGiOh, Pokemon and such cuz of the voice company over them. This time Sonic has similarities with DBZ, Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto and Bleach as well as numerous other video games.

I liked Silver and Blaze’s previous voices better. Silver sounds kinda cheap and off and Blaze sounds like Rouge’s first voice a little. XD
But their voices are REALLY identical to their previous voices and both this version and the previous version (of both characters) were really neutral and casual sooo I DO like them. Meh, yeah I like them! They sound the same. XD
I like Silver and Blaze’s new voices, they aren’t too different, nor worse than before. Other than the fact they didn’t have enough time to give it cg cut scenes if they wanted to release this as a Kinect launch title, there’s one thing that bothers me as much as Amy’s new voice does; does anyone feel that final race was the least epic final race out of the whole riders trilogy!? I mean seriously, the first one was a godlike genie, the second one was a gravity/dimension shifter, and this one is just plain Metal Sonic. Not to mention the ending was lame, heck it was worse than the ending to Sonic & the Secret Rings! And yes that’s a bad thing. either way I’m glad the game looks fun, and that it even impressed IGN.

Blaze sounds very different, at the beginning she sounded completely the same (The first clip) but then I found that she sounds different. But the voices aren’t bad. that’s the thing with Voice acting, the sounding and acting portrayal is very important, at least with the 4kids (despite how awful they acted/sounded) u could actually picture some of the cast, like Lisa Ortiz as Amy i could actually visualise Amy speaking when i heard her voice.
I had no idea Wally Wingert (who i know him as Rusty Pete from ratchet & clank a crack future series) would voice in a sonic game lol. im guessing he was jet?

Even Knuckles? I mean, Knuckles is pretty obvious and he sounds just like his 4Kids actor. It’s hard to tell who is who when I’m listening to Amy and Cream new voices but everybody else is easy to tell apart.
People really need to relize how bad Sega screwed up when the replaced the original cast.
This issue was almost non existent before they replaced them.

I loved the Adventure cast for example and was pretty pissed off when Sega fired the Adventure cast out of nowhere and adopted the 4Kids cast from the Sonic X series. Omega was replaced probably because 1: His body shape doesn’t support riding a hoverboard and thus would right a bike but is uncompatable with that as well while the E10000 robots are made to ride boards. In fact, besides Storm, I think he’s the only one who rides a board who is big.
Also, it’s E-10000 Blue, not Green. Green is just the extra robot available. (I think they did that so you could still play the robot despite the fact that the blue one is actually Metal Sonic)
The reason the robot was there was to be a spy for Eggman. Omega is Eggman’s enemy.
I think that finding a new Omega voice shouldn’t be hard. The effects pretty much do it anyways. XD

I like Silver’s new voice a lot. It keeps the tone, but sounds less… nerdy. As for Blaze, Hudson was fine, but this new ones sounds a bit younger and edgier.
I’m very mixed with the new VAs.
Most of them are ok, but nothing that makes me scream spectacular. Shadow is my biggest complaint so far, he sounds like his VA is trying to hard, it just seems off >.> Though I find Griffith was begining to lose his touch with Shadow after Black Knight and sasasr (got too rough sounding) so I guess it’ll be tolerable…
Everyone else is either fine, or too similar to the previous VAs to really judge differently.

Overall, I’m pleased with the majority of the new cast.
The only one I’m not too fond of is Amy. She’s got the acting part right, but her voice doesn’t really make her sound like she’s 12. Hopefully, she’ll get better as the sereis goes on.
Wow the new cast sound really great – all very suiting to what they look like. A few are a little weird only cause i’m so used to the original cast by now. Love Rouge =P So glad she’s getting some spotlight.
Bit dissapointed that this is how the story is, in presentation and writing. I know it’s meant to just be a bit of a sidetrack when playing the Grand Prix, but it’s so worthless it might as well not be there. I don’t know why they didn’t just use cutscenes like they usually do, it’s just boring to watch to be honest!
Shame that this new cast are probably gonna get dissed as this just seems to be full of corny lines and boring writing. I’d really like to see them attempt something really well written, they’ve got such great, diverse characters. I’m sure something really good could be made. Still, lovely cast though. =]

By the way, is it true that Laura Bailey is the voice actor for Blaze? I know she’s Omochao because I can easily hear Raspberyl, Evangeline A.K McDowell and Kuro in that voice, but seriously she’s got some real talent if she’s Blaze. I just read it on Wikipedia and the Sonic wiki and was wanting a confirmation

Silver’s voice actor without question is Quinton Flynn. Its the same voice as the character that he plays as in the Bleach anime, Kon.

Sonic: I liked Jason’s better but still good

I think Jet has a higher voice because J. Griffith made him sound older than Sonic when the fact is he’s a year younger, which is a big difference puberty-wise.

Okay, what’s with the sudden influx of anime VAs doing Sonic games all of a sudden? Nothing entirely against it, but would it really kill SEGA to do an open casting call for some fresh talent? Any way, here’s my opinion on each:
Sonic: Drummond will always have a place as the best, but Roger here’s taking it much deeper than most of us would’ve ever expected. Pretty cool. Takes a while to get used to, but it fits.
Tails: His voice hasn’t been tolerable since Sonic Heroes so this is a step in the right direction at least.
Knuckles: Still miss the SA2 VA, but damn Travis does him some justice!
Amy: WTF!?!?
Shadow: *pulls out ear plugs as she’s stopped listening to him speak since Heroes* Oh, Shadow’s got another VA now? *listens* Huh, well, its not SA2, but its tolerable
Rouge: A little to high with not enough appeal as she had originally.
Cream: Really, there’s a difference?
Vector: He was better in Heroes, but this is just as good if not better.
Eggman: Awesome. Can’t wait till Colors ^-^
Omachao: As annoying as ever.
Blaze: Classy, sophisticated, cross her you’re screwed. Perfect
Silver: Not as nasal and grating like before. Clear & perfect pitch & tone. I approve!

Overall, loving the new cast for the Sonic games and the new theme’s ok. Ungravitify was oh SO much better with a LOT of remix value to it.
Shadow’s voice is bull shit. Sonic’s is k but I still don’t care for it. And I liked Silver’s other voice better :/

What’s wrong with that? I’d rather SEGA hire popular VAs who has alot of experience in voice acting for animes, cartoons, videogames, commericals, etc rather then hiring a bunch of random people off the street with very little or no experience in voice acting at all.

At least SEGA kept Mike Pollock…no one can replace Eggman’s real voice so hope they keep him for more years to come 🙂
@ Umiyuri: Of course! I’m one of few people who is always willing to give a new person a chance. After all, change happens all the time – we can’t always control it, so it’s better to accept it. Who knows? That one-shot actor could be the perfect match for a character.
It also helps that I’m not super picky – as long as a character falls within a certain “voice” perimeter, I’m fine XD
@ FoxBoy: I’m sorry…I haven’t watched Naruto in EONS (well, that’s an exaggeration), and with the sound on my laptop busted, I doubt I ever will. But yes, I do realize the Naruto cast seems to have moved up a notch (aside from poor Sasuke, lolz). I wish them all luck on this new saga!
And FWI, I’m going to get the old Xbox, not a new one ^^’ Get it fixed for free. Still might try Kinect though, even if I need to upgrade to play it :/

@Aquaslash No, it’s not Sonic doing the menus. I thought that as well, but apparently it’s not Roger. Since Wally’s not Vector (Keith confirmed he’s voicing Vector over Facebook), I’m pretty sure he’s the announcer and POSSIBLY the E10000 character.

Actually Sakura moved up too. XD I’m the kinda guy who likes a lot of different things, so of course Naruto’s on the list. I only mention Naruto the most because it’s the thing I looked into the most recently of all the other stuff the Sonic voices are related to now. =P
But I stopped caring for Naruto cuz it got boring. Then a little more interesting, then confusing and boring, then out of nowhere it got pretty cool so I started looking at it again.

Storm – I don’t care for Storm to begin with, and the new voice isn’t necessarily an improvement.

Seriously, the cast for these games just keeps getting bigger, and it’s really irritating me. I thought they wanted to reduce the size. Apparently, the Riders series is SEGA’s toilet for ideas and characters. I WAS glad to see Metal Sonic and Shadow, but…eh. Cream and Vector are definitely optional at this point. Rouge could potentially become interesting again if they developed her and Shadow’s character more, as well as whatever relationship (not necessarily romantic) exists therein.

Uh, BlooDood, Wally Wingert and Kyle Hebert are two entirely different people; Wally voiced Renji in Bleach and Kyle voiced Ganju/Aizen from the same show! Anyway, Wiki is still listing Wally as Silver but was that confirmed from Wally himself because unless he has I will refuse to believe that anyone other than Quinton Flynn is voicing him as Silver sounds exactly like Kon from Bleach, who Flynn voices, when Kon isn’t being a perverted idiot.

Sonic’s voice is still the problem if you ask me, I mean Anything is better than Jason, but the guy that plays Shinji’s voice from Bleach, I can’t even tell the difference in their tones its totally boring.
as far as all the other characters go like Tails he at least Sounds better and actually has some emotion, Amy also Sounds boring not her usual angry self, Shadow Sounds pretty cool, but I can’t believe I’m saying this Jason did a good job with Shadow’s voice, Cream still annoying, Vector sounds the same but a hint of more retardism and where the hell is the rest of the chaotix I don’t really care if big can’t fit on a board if he’s to fat he should be in the game anyway, The Babylon Rouges Jet doesn’t no longer sound like a Retarded Sonic, wave sounds the same, but I liked her old voice better, Storm………MORE RETARDED!!!!! Silver perfect in every way, Blaze sounds really nice, and more princess like. Eggman I can’t tell a difference so that’s good, and Knuckles next to Silver he’s perfect and for once not burning with his stupid rage. The omochoa thing doesn’t sound annoying anymore, Metal Sonic didn’t say anything just like in Sonic Rivals 2, why can’t they bring back his voice of Awesomeness from Sonic Heroes.
Sonic Free Riders would have been better with no story and they just should have made a game where every single Sonic character was playable, instead of it being exactly like Sonic Rivals, or Sonic and the Secret of the Rings.
You can’t tell a difference with Eggman, Sonurtoichi, because there is none; Mike Pollack is the only 4Kids actor that stayed on. Also, Big is in the game as an NPC as his new voice, Kyle Hebert (aka Aizen), already said he was on his twitter account.
Regarding Quinton Flynn possibly being Silver. I tweeted him (rather excitedly) asking him directly if he was really the new voice of Silver, and this was his reply:
“You never know … You’ll have to give a listen ;-)”

Finally got around to hearing the actors. The only two I didn’t like were Amy (Minnie Mouse? They made her even more annoying) and Omochao (He somehow turned into a SHE, and is less annoying. That should not be!).
As for Shadow…Well, I like the slight accent and the fact he sounds more like David. But, Kirk drags the sentence out and takes, like, four breaths for that. He’ll get better I’m sure, but he needs to speed up Shadow’s talking…He doesn’t work in slow mo XD

In Sonic Colors on the DS another cast member was shown. It was Vic Mignogna, he plays E-123 Omega now I think.
