New Sonic Colors Multiplayer Info/Impressions

Kotaku’s own Stephen Totilo got his hands on the multiplayer part of Sonic Colors recently. While he seemed to really enjoy his time with the game, he also revealed some very interesting new information.

There are 21 Sonic Simulator levels total.

Due to the simple backgrounds, they can run at 60 fps.

The speeds of these levels can be adjusted. However, it is not clear if that is the speed of your time limit or the speed of the Sonic bots.

This was the final build of the game.

  3. It’s too bad the only offline friend who I keep in regular contact with can’t play Sonic games…

  4. Wow, for the first time in a long time I’m just as excited to play the multiplayer mode in a Sonic game just as much as the single player.

  5. @TheHumbleFellow

Then you’ll be happy to know that you can play all the Sonic Simulator games with just one player. But, yea. An extra friend would be nice.

  6. More and more previews are saying that this is one of the first GOOD sonic titles in a long while. While I enjoyed Unleashed, both versions, I found that the HD version really ramped it up in terms of them wanting to try and make up for past mistakes. You could feel that they put the time and the effort into trying to improve it. The Wii version was really fun but lacked a lot of what made the HD counterpart great. This, I guess is their way of saying “Thank you for sticking with us while we worked out the kinks.” When it comes out in November, I’ll be more then happy to say “Your welcome” when I get to play this awesome game.

  7. Where’s other characters going be on DS version of Sonic Colors?
I heard Amy and Knuckles was going to appear in the story but Shadow might be in it.
I want to see other characters in DS version of Sonic Colors like Blaze, Silver and other characters.
