Race for Good 2021 Announced for Sonic’s Birthday Week, Featuring Special Guests Mike Pollock and Johnny Gioeli

Sonic community streamers Andy ‘The British Andy’ Wilson and Pete ‘TitansCreed’ Nethercote have formally announced the next ‘Race For Good’ charity event, and this time around, they’ve brought company – along with interviews with special guests Mike Pollock and Johnny Gioeli!

The ‘Race For Good’ has become a hotly-anticipated annual event in the community calendar. Each year, Andy and TitansCreed run through as many Sonic the Hedgehog games as they can, raising money for UK gaming charity Special Effect along the way. After many successful years, the 2021 show will grow to feature a number of extra streamers across the world, who will help contribute to individual charity streams throughout the week.

This year’s event runs from Monday June 21 – Monday June 28 – alongside raising donations, there will be additional activities for the audience to participate and have fun. Fans who donate over £20 will enter a raffle to win one of two Sennheiser GSP305 Gaming Headsets, while £50+ donations will enter a raffle for an Elgato 4K60 Pro Game Capture Card. Special Race for Good 2021 merchandise will also be made available, from pins to t-shirts.

Sonic fans will also get the chance to send their burning questions for veteran voice actor Mike Pollock (who plays ‘Dr Eggman’ in the Sonic games) and Crush 40 singer Johnny Gioeli as part of a special set of interviews that will take place on Saturday 26 June. The Sonic Stadium will be lending a helping hand to moderate the interviews, and we will launch a method for fans to submit their questions in very soon. Stay tuned for that!

All in all, it sounds like Sonic’s birthday week is going to be lots of fun for the community! Stay tuned for more details on Race for Good as it comes!
