If you live in the US and need a reason to subscribe to yet another entertainment streaming service, you might be tempted by Paramount’s new platform as the Sonic the Hedgehog movie will soon be available on Paramount Plus.
ViacomCBS revealed in a series of tweets last week that its upcoming streaming service, due to launch in the US, Canada and Latin America from March 4, will feature the box-office smash featuring the blue blur from day one.
The company also suggested during a presentation that the Sonic movie sequel could also arrive on Paramount Plus, as part of its commitment to debut new movies on the service after a standard theatrical run of around 45 days.
Paramount is certainly entering an increasingly crowded space, with competitors such as Netflix, Amazon, Disney and more already having a foothold in video streaming. But with movies like Sonic, the Hollywood studio thinks it’s got what it takes. Time will tell! We’ll just sit here, twiddling our thumbs until Paramount Plus comes to the UK, though.

I already signed up for CBS All Access to take advantage of that 50% Off Deal for the Annual Plan! It’s got the Three DIC Sonic Shows. I have to wonder, when CBS All Access becomes Paramount+, will those shows get booted off, or will they stay along with the Super Mario World and Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 cartoons?
