The SNL gang dream about returning to their normal lives…and attending a Sonic the Hedgehog Musical!
The brief glimpse of a packed Broadway theatre sees the curtains drawing back to reveal a “Sonic the Hedgehog The Musical” banner, to the delight of the cast and audience (the clip can be seen around the 1:30 mark if you want to fast forward).
Strangely, the artwork is not official, and is in fact a drawing back Twitter user @BranFlaixx, who was as surprised to see his artwork appear in the short.
Yes, that image of Sonic you may have seen on @nbcsnl last night is a piece of fan-art I made in 2017.
I personally think this whole situation is pretty funny, but they seriously need to be more careful about where they get their art assets from (not to mention giving credit). pic.twitter.com/p3QYqCuPKt— BranFlakes (C0MMS OPEN) (@BranFlaixx) May 10, 2020
Here’s hoping to a real life Sonic the Hedgehog broadway show when we return to some level of normality!
How will that work?
Honestly, for the utter strangeness of it a Sonic the Hedgehog musical might be a good little money maker!
I’m still waiting for the Batman music/ opera I saw in Batman beyond!
Let’s get a full broadway presentation of Needlemouse the Musical: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09gDAnMXQoM
The logo was also made by a fan.
