The trailer for Sonic at the Olympic Games – Tokyo 2020 mobile title shows off a host of gameplay, and reveals gimmick-filled Ex Events!

The trailer reveals that it will include “All the Sonic series characters in Tokyo” (whether this means all will be playable remains to be seen  – but we’d love to play as Orbot and Cubot!), along with the first footage of wall climbing, skeet shooting, and fencing in the game.

A “Ex event” mode has also been announced, which appears to be a gimmick-filled game mode, however no further detail was revealed.

  1. Looks better than I expected! I hope all those Sonic characters are playable in all events and then some. Omega, Wave, Tikal and Mighty would be great for example.

  2. “All the Sonic series characters” huh? Oh boy, can’t wait to go to the Olympics with Froggy, Chris Thorndyke, and Shade.
