  1. I hope I’m not the only one who doesn’t love this. I think it’s all right but not anything really great.

    1. I’m with you on that. Its a fun little piece of animation, but the way people are reacting in the comments on YouTube is a bit ridiculous. I’m seeing comments like “This clip is better than every Sonic game since Sonic 3 & Knuckles” or things along those lines. Come on now lol

    2. To be honest, I doubt anyone’s expecting anything spectacular: it’s three minutes of fun. As long as it gets a smile or a chuckle*, it’s done its job.

*Knuckles is, of course, excused from this option.

  2. I enjoyed it honestly. I’m not overawed by it or anything but it’s lovely animation and does capture that Sonic 1 – 4 kind of spirit. I still haven’t played Sonic Mania but I’ve seen the opening animation and the like and enjoyed what was shown there, however, I’ve grown up with dark age Sonic games so it doesn’t epitomise the hedgehog for me like it does for most fans. With that in mind, Sonic CD’s opening and closing animation I believe to be on par if not a close second to Sonic Unleashed’s opening and extra scenes.

The reception of Mania Adventures by other fans, saying it outclasses anything the series has ever done, I do find quite jarring. That said, I also understand that there’s a demand for consistent quality with what the Sonic series as a whole puts out. If this is a start to that, I guess we should let the fans have their fun. We all know that the series needs consistency and a good shake up now more than ever, i think it’s worth appreciating the good steps forward.

  3. I really enjoyed this. As a fan of 2D animation and the this art style of Sonic, the video made me smile. Sure if you’re not into this more childish/Tom and Jerry kind of story then this definitely won’t float your boat. That being said, I liked the simplicity of the story, the characterisation of Sonic and Eggman was great and felt like the classic versions of them and I thought the humour was nice too. Simple yet effective material here.

  4. Modern Sonic Fans: Wow these classic fans need to stop saying all the new stuff is bad!!! All Sonic is actually good and they need to keep their negativity to themselves.

*Literally anything comes out with exclusively Classic Sonic*

Modern Sonic Fans: Wow!! I’m sorry but this is so terrible. It’s not even good. Why do you like it????!!
