Sonic Mania will will launch same day across all platforms, at the same price

According to a new interview with Sonic Community Manager Aaron Webber, no platforms will be getting any preferential treatment from Sonic Mania when it finally hits. According to the interview, conducted by Nintendo World Report, the game will be hitting the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC at the same time and at the same price, although no further details were given on what the release date and price will be.

Webber also almost-sort-of confirmed that Sonic Mania will probably be utilizing the Switch’s Pro controller, although he cautioned that this should not yet be taken as a complete confirmation.

I mean…it most likely will. It’s a 2D platformer on the Switch, a console that doesn’t come with controller than has a proper D-Pad.

  2. So that’s, Ehh, $50 for the game plus $70 for the pro controller which sets back consumers $120 in total.
