  1. Like.. ugh. I can’t stress how much I enjoy these comic previews. Ian Flynn is writing for some episodes of Sonic Boom Season 2… I wish he’d be a writer in the main games too.

    1. Yeah, I’d love to see Flynn start writing for more aspects of the franchise. I don’t care for the comics, but from the bits and pieces I’ve seen, he’s a good fit for the series.

      1. …cuz it’s not…out. Most people who read the comic pick it up through retail, not subscriptions.

Unless…yaaarrrggghhh, would ye be a ravenous dog of the sea, matey?

        1. I get it through retail whenever I’m close to a bookshop but otherwise….
          Yaarrghh how’d ya guess, bucko?

          1. I don’t think I’ve ever read through one of these comment sections and just been straight up entertained before. Thanks, guys! XD

  2. Lol, Flynn I love a lot of stuff you write, but “Nixus”? I could see that a mile away. X)

Unless of course he’s a red herring and actually is another echidna and Ixis is doing something else to throw them off…if that’s the case, then that’d be awesome.

    1. It’s actually Walter Naugus. It’s very obvious since they have a very similar appearance when it comes to color scheme.

  3. Loving this so much! Both the art and the characterization look amazing! Again Ian Flynn could do wonders writing for the games! Even if some people see his inexperience writing for games as a “fatal flaw” I’m pretty sure he would do a better job than Pontac and Graff.

Still I hope Sega is willing to give a good treatment to its characters in the games just as these guys do in the comics, and it doesn’t have to be Ian behind the pen, just any good writer that likes and understand the characters, Sega: the Sonic cast have fan bases on their own and it’s not because they appeared in Sonic Runners or the Olympic games, take the hint! 😉

  4. “Y’know, I’ve had dreams like this. Only they were pleasant”

    Do you think the crystals coulda been… ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

    1. I see what you implied there!

But its pretty safe to say she is talking about jewerly XD though if this were a japanese comic…

  5. I have concerns about this arc. If anyone cares to hear from the pessimist then I’ll say my opinion but otherwise I’ll just say this arc is leading down a road I don’t like.

      1. I made a video on Youtube called Sonic Universe 88 review. It’s 15 minutes long. So if you feel like hearing my full thoughts in a bad video then look there.

Basically though this arc is predictable, and leaving some characters with no purpose. Thus far anyway. Plus, some of the things in part 2 could of been executed better.

      1. Who isn’t even there. And since he hasn’t done anything of use yet it makes his appearance useless.
