From Friday December 5th until Monday 20th April, the National Museum of Scotland will be the host of the Game Masters video game exhibition. This is an exhibition which will…
Feature over 100 playable games covering a period which has seen video games evolve from a niche interest to a massively popular leisure activity, international cultural art form and a global commercial entertainment industry.
And as well as playing the games, visitors will discover more about game design and development through rare original game artwork, 2D objects and interviews with game designers.
So why am I telling you about this? Well, Sonic is going to be there in some form.
According to the museum, part of the exhibition will look at the console revolution and will feature the work of key designers including Yuji Naka and the team behind Sonic the Hedgehog.
According to the press release, this will be the only European venue for this event, so if you want to see it, better head up to Scotland come December. Or if you can’t make it, be sure to check out our report on it when December rolls around, yup, we’ll be heading up to this one.

I hope Sonic 3D Blast is the selected game to represent the entire series to common people, I really do.
Ah that explains your posts. You had us all fooled didn’t you? I hope we can be good friends Mr. Troll.
I’d give you a happy GIF image if only I could learn how to do it properly in this comment section.
Okay maybe I was too sarcastic in the last comment. But still, Sonic 3D? With all your other negative posts and that comment that seemed to be made just to piss some people off, well…
If he’s serious you shouldn’t be mocking at him, if he’s a troll you shouldn’t be feeding him.
my money’s on sonic 3 & knuckles being show
I’m hoping for popular video games for Game Masters Exhibition, to bring some Mario Kart 8, & Sonic Generation, than Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed or everything that be fantastic if they do that!
How old are you kid?
Yeesh, rude much, Reny?
No I am not a kid I’m 16 Teen years old so that means I am Teenager for the first time.
Oh okay kid, your old to know better Sonic games.
Do you mind dropping the attitude please.
Game Masters has already come to Australia and I can tell you what Sonic games where available (back then, at least)
– Sonic 1
– Sonic 2 (Note – There where two controllers for Multiplayer
– Sonic Generations (Note – 3D Glasses where available for use, but they where optional)
– Sonic Lost World (Wii U) (Note – It was available before the game was available)
Thats it for Sonic, but other Sega Games where
– Nights into Dreams
– Chu Chu Rocket (Note – Like Sonic 2, Multiplayer was an option)
– Shenmue
Thats all I remember, but I’m sure there was more, I was also disappointed with the Mario and Zelda selections as well, but I won’t talk about that.
Awesome! Then I hope they change Sonic Lost World for another Sonic like Sonic Adventure 2 or Sonic Unleashed.
Or Boom
While I was digging around I found the map they gave out at the event, and I remembered more about the event. Yu Suzuki was given his own section away from the Sonic Team games, the other game there (besides Shenmue) where –
– Out Run
– Space Harrier (Was in the “Arcade Heroes” section
– Hang-On
– A Virtua Fighter game (Not sure on which one)
Another note is that Sonic Lost World was the poster boy of the event (advertising its playability before release) Also, keep in mind I went January this year, two years after the expedition was available in New Zealand, where Sonic Lost World was not available. One more thing, this isn’t related to Sega, but Vib-Ribbon for the PS1 was a surprise to see at the exhibition.
Well of course I know better Sonic games Reny Noise & also Reny Noise for the last time Stop calling me a kid I am teenager that I was born in California of Febuary 27,1998. Won’t you guys agree with me if Reny Noise stop calling me a kid a lot.
The only one who’s being a kid right now is Reny, Aroon. Don’t take it too personally, please.
Sonic was already the poster hedgehog for Game Masters in Wellington, New Zealand, Which took place last year.
There was only Sonic Generations, sonic 2 and sonic 1.
Nevertheless it was awesome.
