The hunt is on for a certain individual that was unleashed during the crisis!
Comicosity has a preview of Sonic Universe 65! In this issue, Knuckles and the Chaotix have stumbled across Light Gaia, and both parties have their own reason to want to get hold of the little furball. But they’re not the only ones after him, as the Hooligans are still in there and hunting down the Chaos Emerald he has. On top of all this, the Aquatic Mines are a perilous place, even more so when you add in a few Dark Gaia Minions to the already busy fray! The story continues in “The Great Chaos Caper”: part 3.

THIS is how Knuckles should be.
Yeah. Although, I’m not fully convinced yet that this is how the Chaotix should be. I just hope he doesn’t go too far with the zaniness to the point where it becomes total incompetence.
The Chaotix aren’t the Freedom fighters so their stories can be a bit different, but Sega needs to take notes from Archie on how to represent their Red Echidna again, a character who helped launch the franchise.
I’m not talking about their stories. I’m just hoping that the writer doesn’t go overboard with their whackiness to the point of making them incompetent or annoying. They’re my favorite characters within the series so I tend to worry about flanderization when it comes to their attitudes.
As for Sega, if they don’t already know that we want Knuckles to act better at this point, then they’re beyond hope. Either that or they’re purposefully ignoring us.

Funny, back when he was acting like this in the games people kept bitching about him ruining the games by being too serious all the time.
Sonicfans, they’re never satisfied with what they’re getting.
Guess you Sonic fan are never satisfied.
Laughs ass off at the idea that Knuckles helped launch the Sonic franchise.
Sonic launched the franchise on his own, Knuckles just brought in more fans.
He was like that once, but you chumps bitched about him not being good enough back then either so SEGA said fuck it and nerfed him.
RIP Sonic Comics that were fun to read :'(
I don’t think you read them LOL
Rip sonicrush1991’s opinion
Sadly it died July 2nd, 2014 because no one cared for it.
And the story continues with no end in sight, part of me wants to happy but frankly all I can do is remember how every grand story by Ian Flynn just falters and drops dead halfway through it, every single one of them.
At least the art looks better then normally.
Can’t help but notice Mighty is absent.. Don’t tell me the reboot has killed him (and Ray) off! That would suck noodles after all the trouble he went thru to find his sister
No, Mighty and Ray aren’t dead, they’re just not part of the Chaotix any more. Check out the solicits to #264 and #265 to get a first preview of their debut appearances in the new reality.
Matilda…erm, can’t guarantee that she’s not been wiped out.
Well that’s good 🙂 Thought SEGA stepped in and said “no no no” … didn’t occur to me until now that Nack/Fang has made a return to the comics so SEGA couldn’t have been all too demanding with changes
