  1. And iOS exclusive. -.-
Sega needs to realize that iOS has a lot less devices than Android.
Seriously, I can’t even think of a reason why this is Apple-exclusive, considering the fact that Android’s NDK makes porting games from iOS a breeze.

      1. Yes but why is it always later? I understand that there are more android devices and it takes time to make the game work on most of them, but you don’t see this kind of hate on windows computers. There are also way more of them than Macs, and yet PC users aren’t forced to wait around for developers to port a Mac game to PC.

        1. I is because all apple products have the same security features and graphic capabilities through one universal update. All androids have completely different software that backs them and requires an array of programming that not only is needed to make it work on a certain device but also work on that device with programming for other devices since they all come from one universal location ai the Google market place. Plus most people have some form of apple product, even an iPod or iPad etc. It’s more common and better to release it on a device that requires less money to produce so they break at least even if it flops.

        2. Windows is a more rigidly defined OS. PC manufacturers have to specifically design and bend the hardware to cater to the Windows OS. Unlike Android which is almost completely opensource. The smartphone manufacturers usually bend the OS to specifically cater to the hardware.

    1. Nah, he’s just a scoreboard name. Do you really think Eggman and Metal Sonic are playable?

      1. would be great if metal sonic was playable T^T
        – it would be worth buying this second version of sonic jump.

  2. It’s about time Sonic Jump got some love. I thought SEGA had completely forgotten about it in favor for Sonic Dash. Also, I wonder if Sonic Dash S will ever come out here?

    1. Well, that’s because the folks at Microsoft shot themselves in the foot when they made the SDK for Windows Mobile. It’s impossible to port Objective-C(iOS app) to Windows Mobile without rewriting the entire game.

That’s kinda sad for Windows Mobile users, but a person shouldn’t buy a phone with that OS, expecting there to be many Apps.

  3. Couldn’t they just update sonic jump instead of making a whole new app entirely? I still have some purchases on it and this game looks like it’s gonna make the original just get cast aside even more ._.

  4. ‘Score points to trigger FEVER’
    > 0:46 Suddenly, LSD fit.

I like seeing the Chao again, they’re always great!
(I’d die if they ever made a Chao Garden iOS/Android game and I’d spend an unhealthy amount of time on it).

  5. People keep criticizing Sega for making iOS exclusives, yet they easily have the “JUMP” over Nintendo when it comes to the future direction of gaming.
Will give it a shot soon 🙂 Loved the first one

    1. What does Nintendo have to do with this? How does a shitty mobile f2p game give Sega a “jump” over Nintendo?

  6. Completely unrelated, but there’s a new Sonic Dash update up now, just found out courtesy of my iPod. Anyone who plays it on an Apple product, check it out.

    1. It’s another global challenge, this time around it’s Easter-themed. It says that you have to collect eggs and get snazzy prizes and unlock a new character (my best guess would be it’s Cream). The challenge hasn’t started yet, but it’s getting ready to launch.

  7. I don’t understand anything : Is it a new game or an updated version of SONIC JUMP 2012?!…
Shall we see one day the missing levels of SONIC JUMP 2012?!…

And what about SNIC DASH S?!…
Is there really a mini-story included (Eggman holding the M.E.)?!…
    Please, answer me!!…

    1. It’s a new game based off of Sonic Jump. Made for competing with friends, and has the Energy concept from some F2P games.

  8. doesnt look much different from the original… the I-series can handle more graphics than this game puts out surely.
shame metal sonic isnt playable 🙁 that would make it worth-it for me.

if it comes to UK then i’ll get it if it stays free-to-play.

  9. Great Idea for a small Sonic game.

combined Dash and Jump (for ways to collect rings) and add a chao garden so we can raise them like in the adventure series and spend rings and stuff. And of course feature some Chao games.

i think that would be fun.

  10. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a second. That rewards screen just said that Dr. Eggman upgraded his character?

Does this mean he is playable? A playable Eggman?

Please let this mean he is playable, because this is the only incentive I would have to get this game.

  11. Dear SEGA,

put Sonic 4 Ep1+2+Metal, Sonic Jump 1 and 2, and Sonic Dash on the 3DS and Vita. Preferably in a compilation on a cartridge.

    Love,
    Common Sense

(seriously, why the hell wouldn’t they put these games on the handhelds? They might have to change their montization models for Jump and Dash but it still seems like putting Sonic games on Nintendo systems is usually a pretty good idea)

I can’t wait to download Jump Fever whenever they decide to give it away for free on Android. That’s how I got Jump and Dash.

  12. They haven’t even finished updating the first one and they’re already releasing a SEQUEL?! Get your act together, SEGA! People didn’t pay you for a game that you said you would finish but don’t intend to!
