  1. AW MAN!! I was really hoping it was the train from Sonic 2006 too! Oh well, it’s in Soleana Forest (Zone?), so I guess that’s something. It’s actually rather interesting how the Radical Train zone is supposed to link up with the Bullet Station zone, but I still want my MACH SPEED homage, or at least a joke!

    1. I mean, did we really have to change the train on the variant cover? The train was fine the way it was, as the train from Sonic 2006. I don’t hate Sonic Heroes or anything, it’s just that I’m kind of getting annoyed at how much it keeps try to butt in on every piece of Sonic media out there. Sonic & SEGA Allstars Racing, Racing Transformed, Mario and Sonic at The Olympic Games (all of them), the comics (though I guess it’s fair since it never got an official adaptation), and practically in every other game after Sonic Heroes! For some reason SEGA seems to see Sonic Heroes what it is to the current series as what Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) was to the entire series. Maybe that has to do with the fact that it would be what Playstation, Microsoft, and Nintendo fans would have considered their first Sonic experience (assuming none of them have ever touched a Genesis in their lives), but really I think Heroes has kind of overstayed it’s welcome. I’m fine with small nods here and there, but when it leads to literally editing something just to make it look more “Heroes-y”, that’s where I draw the line.

  2. oh wow, the Bullet Station trains!
would of prefered to see them referenced in a game than a comic though.

  3. The freedom fighters in SEGA style looks so interesting, I was hoping for this change in their looks for ages as Sonic and the rest of the official characters sometimes clashed in looks with them, specially the infamous 4 fingers.
