Just over a week ago, Sega announced that Sonic 2 remastered would be released as early as November of this year. A few people speculated that the game might include bonus or extra content since Sonic 1 remastered include a lot of features cut from the game as well as additional characters.
This however was speculation… Until now.
In a fact sheet posted on their Press Vault site, Sega have confirmed that Sonic 2 Remastered will include exclusive content for the mobile release, however they’ve not gone into details regarding what the content is.
They’ve also re-confirmed the release date to be November 2013, and stated that this will be a 1 player experience only… so no 2 player online Vs mode?

The creator of Mighty took the copyrights with him when he left Sega so, Sega aren’t allowed to use him without tracking down the guy IIRC

“iOS and Android”? But what about home consoles!? All I have are just re-releases of the same exact games that were released 20 years ago on my PS3! Why aren’t I getting the remasters for any of my console systems!?

I’d agree, Tails can fly, kuckles in sonic 2 to be made availiable….maybe, dare i say it…METAL sonic as a playable?!
bTW what are the “extaras” in sonic 1 IoS / Amdroid that were dropped from the original? Apart from Tails and knuckles, the game seems to be the exact same one i played back in 1991!
In debug mode, you can activate the elemental shields, as well as some hidden items from the original beta of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Theres no 2 players Sonic 2 on iOS or Android that’s stupid!

What the fucking hell SEGA…WHY ONLY 1 PLAYER?! The only reaso I was planning on getting this for my iphone is because It would probably have an online 2 Player Versus Mode, that would’ve put this game over the top. Dammit SEGA your were no good at putting online in your consoles games then, and you still are today.

One of my favorite parts of Sonic 2 iOS was the local multiplayer. It will be a sad day when the update comes. :'(
