Thanks to Woun at the SSMB for the heads up!
Too bad 3DS isn’t region free or else I would’ve imported it.
I swear, I already have the CD and the artbook, assuming they’re the same. But goddamn does this sound enticing.
dammit! you took my idea on the forums Woun. oh well. easy comes easy goes
Actually, Woun posted his SSMB topic before you.
If you look at the Recent Topics box:
“what is your reactions to Sonic Generations when you played it?
walterscott380 – Today, 10:58 AM
Sonic Generations Japanese Special Edition
Woun – Today, 10:10 AM”
Its nice, but think ours is better. :/
After seeing some tweets from Jun Senoue regarding the soundtracks, I’m pretty sure they’re different and contain a selection of music from each version.
The Crystal Cube is a stunner though. Lovely box.
Yeah, I’ve been wondering when they’re going to reveal the Sonic Generations soundtrack ever since Jun Senoue started tweeting about it.
we’ve been gipped to a degree, would much rather have the crystal cube than the model we got, was very annoyed that they didn’t even use decent quality plastic to make that statue.
I am actually really happy with my statue.
yea i like it, the quality of material used for each sonic could have been better i feel, that’s all. it still has pride of place in my room next to the tv, with the ring sitting on the front of it!
Come on Sega of America, give us a collecters additoin!
I ment collection “set”.
….andddd other countries miss out again. This is really pissing me off!
Sold Out. 🙁
WHAT THE FLIP?! WHY THE HELL DOES EVERY COUNTRY BUT AMERICA GET SOMETHING COOL AND 20TH ANNIVERSARY RELATED?! URRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHH I HATE THIS!
…Seriously? Us in America get nothing special!? ….I’m sorry, but Sega of America really screwed up with Generations in America, in terms of stuff like this….-.-
God dammit SEGA. First the vinyl soundtrack with Dreamcast Collection in Australia, then the UK Collector’s Edition, and then this. What do we get? NOTHING. WE HAVE NOT GOTTEN A SINGLE GOOD PREORDER OR COLLECTOR’S EDITION ITEM FOR SONIC-RELATED GAMES SINCE THE COLLECTOR’S EDITION OF SONIC ADVENTURE 2. That’s way too long, SEGA.
OH WAIT THAT’S RIGHT THE BIRTHDAY PACK WAS ONLY IN JAPAN
So yeah, the US has never gotten a good preorder/collector’s edition Sonic item.
Mmm, always wanted a Washcloth Sonic that was Horsetail.
This picture is an image.
I hope TSS follows this up with an import guide~
We’ve only seen it for sale at that one retailer so far, but they don’t ship outside of Japan and appear to have sold out. If we see it available anywhere else and they ship outside of Japan, then we’ll do a guide.
Sick, thanks~
Too bad I don’t live in Japan 🙁
So North America is the only region that doesn’t get a collectors edition. Oh well, at least we got the game before anyone else. I’ve already gotten all the trophies!
Interesting collectors set for our overseas friends. Curious what sort of reaction this White / Blue set will receive. I absolutely love the small touches rendered in the cloth, those cute mini Sonic sketches. Curious if these CD bonuses are remastered tracks, or just tracks chosen by staff. Love the idea of a crystal cubed Sonic, plus its just gorgeous to look at.
I just got my Collector’s edition today, shipped from New Zealand (to Canada). Totally worth importing, so I hope to do that with this version too.
And the US still gets nothing…
Someone should shine some xmas lights on that crystal cube.
:O Me wants! It would be the perfect crystal to put on my spinny crystal light thing 😛 America should get something (Not just the States, us Canadians need some love too).
Speaking of collectors sets, I have a question for you Shadzter, or anyone who can help me. I just got European/Australian one yesterday (shipped from Germany to Canada) and the artbook is…well let’s just say the pages were put in upside down, a couple already were fallen out and a page was ripped. Do you know who I could contact to get this fixed or do I have to live with this? I emailed the SEGA Support people but I have no clue if they can help me with that.
I wish Europe’s collectors edition had come with the Sonic Generations OST CD instead of a bunch of random Sonic music from the history of Sonic games; mainly because I have all that music anyway.
ARGDH!, Sega of America CollECTORZ EDiTYONARRGHFGFGDFDHH!! *foams at mouth*
I love my USA only Collectors Edition, thanks Seg-….Oh wait…
The two CD’s aren’t so much handheld vs. console as they are Nintendo vs. Everything Else. They have console games like Sonic and The Secret Rings, Sonic and the Black Knight, and Sonic Colors on the handheld CD (although I realize Sonic Colors is eligible for both CD’s), while Sonic Rivals is on the console CD. Then again, the people most likely to buy the Blue Adventure Collector’s Edition probably favor Nintendo consoles, seeing as though the Blue Adventure is on a Nintendo console. The reverse is also true for White Time and Space Edition.
Is this going to be avalable for import?
Is this different from those listings of History of the First Stage posted a few months back?
Seriously guys. America doesn’t get nothing! You guys got Jazwares, and when you go to TRU you see you 20th anniversary figures there! (thats right, the sonic through time figures)
Australia and (up until a while ago) Europe had to send off to other countries for them figures! So, technically, America gets heaps of things while Australia and Europe, compared to your stuff, get nearly nothing!
