SEGA has opened their Tokyo Game Show 2011 website and revealed their software lineup for the event, which starts September 15th and ends on the 18th. The PS3 and Nintendo 3DS versions of Sonic Generations will be at SEGA’s booth, as well as a variety of other titles from the publisher listed below. A Sonic Generations trailer combining the old Green Hill Zone and City Escape trailers and the game’s two packshots without the logos have also been released.

Thanks to Woun for the heads up on the SEGA TGS website and YouTube conversion of the trailer!
PSO2, Anarchy Reigns, and Binary Domain are gonna be there too?
Oh hell yes.
I hope there will be a trailer with the games real them song at TGS.
It’s likely. All Japanese trailers so far have had music from the game in them, unlike the US and EU ones.
I wonder there would be characters artwork will have:
Classic Sonic / Modern Sonic
Classic Tails / Modern Tails
Classic Robotnik / Modern Eggman
Classic Metal Sonic / Modern Metal Sonic
Classic Knuckles / Modern Knuckles
Classic Amy / Modern Amy
Rouge the Bat
Vector the Crocodile
Charmy Bee
Espio the Chameleon
Shadow the Hedgehog
Blaze the Cat
Big the Cat
E-123 Omega
Cream the Rabbit & Cheese
Silver the Hedgehog
Cubot & Orbot
Vanilla the Rabbit
Perfect Chaos
Giant Mech
and many more
I don’t think Big, Omega, Orbot, Cubot or Vanilla are in this game……
I think Sonic Unleashed did a good job with limiting the number of characters in the game. Why should Sonic Generations be different? Who’s really nice to have: Sonic (old and new), Tails (o.a.n.), Knuckles, Eggman, Amy, Metal Sonic, maybe Chaotix members.
Maybe even Mighty? Please?
While I don’t think there should or likely would be that many like Ryan listed, you did ask why Sonic Generations should be any different as if you forget the symbolism of Sonic Generations.
“Generations” and “Anniversary” should be keys to assuming many characters would show up one way or another. Besides, you’re still only playing as Sonics so what’s the harm in more characters showing up? It’s not like we’ll enjoy or endure their gameplay either way, sadly.
Oh yeah, and I’d agree about Unleashed if it had at least included Knuckles. I see no reason why Amy was there. Especially over Knuckles.
As for Mighty, I don’t dislike him. He’s alright. But I don’t see what the big deal about him is. There’s like no significance to him sadly. Oh well.
They will have poses but SEGA will probably relase artworks of 2 other hedges (Rivals) and thats all. Rest we will see after relase.
AHHHHH Modern City Escape sounds soo good!! need MP3 NAAOO!!
Interestingly, the CERO rating for the 3DS version of Sonic Generations is still being under examination.
http://tgs.sega.jp/2011/data/lineup/sonic_b
“CERO表記: 審査予定” (translation = “CERO listing: Examination scheduled”)
Both versions of Sonic generations are in the Family Corner of SEGA’s booth, so it’s unlikely that the 3DS version will be rated any higher than the PS3/360 version. The PS3/360 version is rated A (All Ages) by the way.
There’re a few possibilities on why the game is still being examined.
The game hasn’t been fully developed. Unlikely, since by now most of the game should have been fully developed. Plus CERO can always be persuaded to overlook some things.
Or the game has an ‘extra’/’secret’ material that is only revealed to CERO at the last moment. Maybe it will be revealed during the time of the Tokyo Game Show 2011?
Also, Seventh (7th) Dragon 2020’s release date was moved from October 27th, 2011 to November 23rd, 2011. Whether this is related in any way to Sonic is unknown, SEGA only said that it was due to a development issue.
….no, just no. What game has an A rating??
“(CERO) is one of two organizations that rates video game content in Japan with levels of rating that informs the customer of the nature of the product and for what age group it is suitable.”
“A (all ages) equivalent to ESRB’s E and E10+ (low end) ratings, PEGI’s 3, 7 and 12 (low end), USK’s 0 and 6 ratings, and ACB’s G and PG ratings.”
Does that help?
OHH! Ok! Thank you 🙂
Why not PC…?
what? no Billy Hatcher again?
Sega, Im dissapoint.
The Vocaloids are gonna be there too?
*does Obi-Wan’s Blu-Ray Krayt Dragon call of happiness*
Glad I wasn’t the only one to notice xD I enjoyed Project Dive and Project Diva 2nd. Haven’t heard of this though ._. TO GOOGLE AND YOUTUBE.
Dude… You listed Phantasy Star Online 2 for the PC twice.
Woops. Thanks for the heads up. Fixed it now.
I can tell you now, once I get this game I’m going to be singing along to city escape like a bloody loon. roll on November 4th! =D
Was classic Sonic always a different blue to the more modern one, or is this just a visual thing to keep them apart?
No, Virtua Fighter =/
