SEGA Reveals Sonic Free Riders TGS Trailer

SEGA has revealed a few new trailers via their Tokyo Game Show USTREAM account, where they will be streaming events at their booth live. The trailers are for Korohyo, Shining Hearts and Sonic Free Riders. The Sonic Free Riders trailer gives us our first footage of Rocky Ridge and a previously unseen shortcut or two in Dolphin Resort. Also shown is the co-op element that the games Xbox.com product page has listed since the games announcement. In this mode it appears that you can hold hands with another player and pull off some joint tricks on jumps, but unfortunately that’s all that is shown in regards to co-op for now. We also get to hear some new music for the game, which is just as catchy as we’ve come to expect from the Sonic Riders series.

  8. Oddly enough i’d take flailing around for a game like this over flailing around for anything wii related.

    I’d buy that to creep out the neighbours passing by the window.

  13. Yay! A trailer! You know, this game looks ace! I am so getting it on my Xbox 360 Kinect! I’ve not played on the other Sonic Riders that much but enough to make this judgement. This is going to be the best Sonic Riders So far!

  18. I was hoping for some polished CG animation, but that was still cool. Y’think this game will be as story heavy as the last two? That Sonic and Tails friendship move was pretty cool.

    I know what you mean. I’ve been listening to it over and over since I posted the article XD I love the new track too, very different and original compared to the last 2 games. Definitely looking forward to this game now.

  23. Fffff I’d buy this just for the music if I had an X-box. The Riders series has such awesome tracks.

  24. I really like this music. Can’t wait for another epic soundtrack from the Riders series.
    And also, co op mode looks interesting. Man, wish I had a way to pplay a demo of this, I won’t have enough for a kinect. Let alone an XBOX. Oh well, we’ll see.

  25. The game looks like great fun. I just hope that they have a story mode, and that they bring in some characters that haven’t been in the series before. Big, Nack/Fang, Metal Sonic, Metal Knuckles, Tails Doll, Emerl, the Chaotix, Heavy, Bomb and Chaos would all be really awesome additions for me.

  26. Does this game even have a story at all? I know the first two Riders games shows alot of CGI goodness of the story and cutscenes.

    Also, looks like Sonic Colors and Sonic Free Riders switched musical styles. Now I understand fully! XD

  29. I would get this game…if it wasn’t for Kinect. I would play it if it was on the Wii or all consoles without motion controls. i don’t feel like paying $200 for this game alsoi have no room for Kinect or Move so guess who won’t be playing this game?

  31. Looking good! However this is the first Riders game to not have a story mode featured in its trailer…Which concerns me.

  32. I can’t wait for this game. Hopefully I’ll be getting a job at Dairy Queen next week so I’ll have enough to pay for Rock Band 3, a Kinect, and this.

  36. One question for y’all who is planing on buy Kinect for this game.
    Where is you xbox 360 console located?
    if it in you living room or a game room great. you can play kinect and have fun.
    if it located in your bedroom then i guessing your planing on moving you system to the living room right?
    I really doubt you will have enough room for kinect to see your entire body and to move around in your bedroom.

  37. Well, not everybodys bedroom is small. I can play the Kinect in my room but my bed takes up way too much space.

  38. I’d have to move mine. But yes, I would buy Kinect for this game…if i had job anyway. (which is easier said then done, these days)

    Same with me.
    when the wii first came out i rearrange my room so i can have just enough space to play it but to play kinect i would have to get a smaller bed and that’s not happening.
    To those people who have a big enough bedroom, go ahead and have fun with kinect.

  43. I wish it didn’t have to be kinect. I wish that Kinect was just an option. I would love to play this game but I don’t want kinect
