Nintendo Power has posted some preview pages for the next issue of their magazine. Two of the pages shared are a preview of both versions of Sonic Colours, which reveals new information about the game that we’ve listed for you below.
* The Purple Wisp transforms Sonic into a “berserker that chomps through anything in its path”
* Asteroid Coaster Zone is revealed, with the following description. “Run on a Saturn-like planet’s rings, deal with reversed gravity and toxic green goo.”
* The Wii version contains six Acts per zone, some short and some long and one boss, while the DS version contains 2 lengthy Acts per zone and one boss.
* Aswell as the previously revealed Sonic Simulator, where you can play co-op with a friend, you can also “challenge every level in sequence via the Egg Shuttle”.
* The DS version has a Time Attack mode and also allows you to compete against friends locally or over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
Overall, the preview is very positive, with their only complaint being the “cringe-inducing jokes” in the cutscenes. You can check out the preview in full, with a few new screenshots at Nintendo Power’s website.

@ Rundas: This preview tells you what the Eggman rocket is. “challenge every level in sequence via the Egg Shuttle”. It’s another game mode.

Asteroid Coaster already reminds me of Crazy Gadget from SA2. Reverse gravity and green goo. 🙂
I’m a little skeptical that the jokes are bad. I mean the guys that wrote MadWorld had some pretty funny stuff in that game, didn’t they?

Is anybody mention other characters (Knuckles, Shadow and Amy) appears in Wii or DS version of Sonic Colors? I know Amy isn’t appear in Wii version but she might be appear in both versions, I don’t know about Knuckles and Shadow. They didn’t make it appear in Sonic Unleashed. SEGA scrapped them in that game. I really hope they will be appear in Sonic Colors DS.
Eggmanland was likely going return to Sonic Colors.
And I like to forward to see Cubot during his cowboy mode voice. I’ll be so funny.
Sonic and Tails are best friends in this game, Eggman was so goofy for his lines at the levels.
This way better than Sonic ’06 and Sonic Unleashed.
Sonic will return to his speed.
I think Amy will grab Sonic for this time, last time she did mistakes as Shadow then Silver now Werehog Sonic, she will got it right this time.

Ryan, why do you constantly ask the same questions over and over again in every news update of Sonic Colors when we have already answered you?? Nobody else won’t be appearing in the DS and Wii version. Knuckles and Amy is mentioned to be in the DS version and Shadow is only hinted to be in the DS version.
So please, stop asking the same question already!
