Concept Art For A Wide Variety Of Sonic Games Found

HunterTSF over at the SSMB has found an extremely large amount of concept art for a wide variety of Sonic games including –
Sonic Rivals 1 & 2
Sonic Riders and Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity
Sonic the Hedgehog (Xbox 360, PS3)
Sonic Unleashed
Shadow the Hedgehog
Sonic Heroes
Night of the Werehog

Most of the artwork was found on websites owned by various artists who worked on the games while the Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity art is on the games official Japanese website so you may have seen those before. The artwork consists of sketches, 2D art, textures and 3D model renders.

  1. Just watched the Demo version of some cutscenes on Cemre Ozkurt. The one of Shadow looking on the Ark 50 years ago has Lion King Music! Epic! I love the original music of them all. Anyone else recognise any?

  2. That Sonic Rivals early trailer actually looks a lot better than the final version, especially the hud.

  5. the sonic 06 character art with the three hedgehogs, especially with Sonic himself, REALLY could’ve happen if SEGA didn’t rush the game

    I am officially scared of this site after seeing Silver ‘Shiny'(even though I have the silver plushie) and Shadow smiling

  7. I’m finding those storyboard-to-animation images on the SSS blog very interesting.

    Jason’s 2005 Shadow was surprisingly… moe. Edge, you’re scared of the ridiculously shiny Silver. You should be scared of Moe-Shadow.

    But I said I’m scared of both shiny Silver and smiling Shadow… I don’t think shadow is very moe at all…

  9. I found Cemre Ozkurt site recently and was surprised at some of the concepts and video’s, I love the Sonic 06 model, not so much Silvers lol.
    As for all the other finds, excellent work, i finally have an idea what the Ifrit looks like =D

  10. I lmao-ed when I saw Shadow smiling. And that wasn’t Silver….it was Metal Silver from the future!

  12. I love concept art, the ones of Shadow look similar to the ones I have on my Sonic Art Assets folder, except he isn’t smiling which suits him better. Silver looks like he’s made out of chrome and Sonic has grown a new coat of fur!
    That Massive Black artist has some amazing work.
    I would love to have this as my future career.
