Sonic’s next Free Comic Book Day issue revealed!

Every year since 2007, in early May, Archie Comics releases a free issue of Sonic the Hedgehog for the Free Comic Book Day event. For the last two years, the comics haven’t been original stories, but rather throwbacks to the comic’s history. Next year, the original stories return in “Hide & Seek & DESTROY”. The cover and solicit are below.

“Hide & Seek & DESTROY!”: Dr. Eggman has vanished–or has he? As Sonic searches for clues, he stumbles across an old weapon from the bygone days of his childhood. Will Dr. Eggman allow Sonic to be destroyed by this threat from yesteryear? Will Sonic discover the truth behind his old rival’s disappearance? All the answers lie in this free issue!

  1. Grinder: I think you still lucky because of the Summer of Sonic T-T I live in middle-Europe, so I can’t get any Sonic comic or go to the SoS. *sigh*

  2. (Directed at Sonicfever) I know where you can get the free comic. I live in Burleson, Texas and the only place I know that will have it on May 1st is Lone Star Comics. But that’s because I live in Texas…so I think the best way to find out where to get it is just to search google for comic shops in your area or if there’s a Borders or Walden Books near you, ask the workers there and hopefully one can point you in the right direction so you can get it. Personally, I can’t wait for another free comic. I just hope Ian Flynn stays with Archie for a very very very long time.
