  1. I remember meeting Rich years ago! Very nice guy, sold me three pieces of art and signed them (Sonic #47, 50 & Knuckles #25.

  2. Heavy Metal…..jesus that’s a really bad joke. Really bad. I can kinda see why Sonic Archie is frowned upon by many. However it does give it some nostalgic appeal; you can see where the comic started and having an orginal piece of artwork is always a pleasure.

This was about 180 issues ago. A lot has changed, from the art to the story telling.

Yes, yes I know a lot has changed in the past several years and the writing has gotten better (a new editor I believe) but Archie’s Sonic the Hedgehog still had a very appaling start.

  5. HEY! That “apalling start” is considered the “good ol’ days” to some Sonic fans. It’s like saying the 1987 Ninja Turtles are rubbish compared to the 2003 series. Clearly no sense of nostalgia. I’d take crazy goofy Robotnik plots and Genesis-era adaptations to soap-opera drama involving a slew of characters who never saw a moment of screen time in a Sonic game.
