Nintendo have released a new video showcasing Wii and DS titles in Japan for 2007-2008. Among them is the first in-game footage of Sonic Riders:Zero Gravity, it’s only 3-4 seconds long and the quality is terrible but beggers can’t be choosers :p
The first thing you notice is that the HUD has been revealed. We have a meter in the bottom left with the speed count above it, which quickly fills up when Sonic uses Gravity Control, a map of the track in the top right which look’s like a simple course, something in the top left which is covered by the game name >_< and in the bottom right the position count and something I can't make out. If anyone can tell me anything else about this HUD please let me know.
Also in the showcase video there is some new footage of the events in the DS version of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, a few we’ve not seen in this version yet. The event’s include – sprinting, long jump, hammer throw, swimming and table tennis. The table tennis is layed out just like the table tennis micro game in Wario Ware Touched but wether it controls the same we’ll have to find out.
There is also some Wii Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games footage but it’s nothing we haven’t already seen.
The Sonic Riders Zero Gravity footage is at 06:23 in the video, the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games DS footage is at 2:23 and the Wii version’s footage is at 3:38.
