Yep, that’s right! Sonic is not only on the PSP in the form of Sonic Rivals, the new upcoming 2D/3D hybrid multiplayer Sonic game set for release later this year on Sony’s portable system, but now Sonic is making another appearance on the PSP, in the form of Sega Genesis Collection.
The new collection game — a common practice by Sega, if you’ve been paying attention — will feature 30 classic Sega games featured on the Megadrive. Of course, what is a classic Sega collection without Sonic?
In addition to the other 28 games in the compilation, two of the games will feature Sonic – namely, the first two installments of the Sonic series: Sonic the Hedgehog, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
As an added bonus, every game on the collection that supports 2 player will also feature online wireless multiplayer abilities, courtesy of the PSP’s wireless capabilities! So now, you can play Sonic 2 on the go with some random person in another country! Pretty nifty, eh? =P
And in case you were dissapointed that it’s just collection game, I never DID say it was a new Sonic game, you know. 😉
