Sega Plans Big Parties for Sonic’s 10th Anniversary

What good is an anniversary without a party to celebrate? Sonic Team plans to do just that in honour of Sonic the Hedgehog’s 10th, with two events happening in Japan which will allow fans to net some swag and schmooze with Sonic Team developers.

The first party will take place in Osaka on June 23rd, and another will be staged in Tokyo on June 24th. Sega will be distributing 50 pairs of tickets to each event via a lottery system over the internet.

Sonic Team leader Yuji Naka was also caught saying he’d like to host similar events in the US and Europe. Let’s hope he holds true to that!
