More information has sprouted regarding the fan-created sequel to Sonic R. According to the latest production log, a script for the opening scene has already been drafted and game production will soon start. Exciting times!
The members that make up the SonicUnderground.net team that are making the game have also been revealed. They are: Shayne Thames, Jason Mitchell, Andrew Koivisto and The Star Dreams Team. More updates are expected as development progresses.
One question we have on our minds: are the Sonic R II developers going to work with Sega? Do they have consent to work on it with Sega’s rights, or will this be a fan project through and through? More news when we can get it.
