Sonic Origins 2.0 Patch Has Begun Rollout

Patches now, DLC later.

Ahead of tomorrow’s release of its Plus DLC, the 2.0 patch for Sonic Origins has begun to hit consoles. Players across multiple regions have already begun downloading the update, and our staff has been able to download it on Switch to confirm; however, it was not available on Steam at time of checking.

While this update does include preparation for the Sonic Origins Plus content, the DLC isn’t available yet and cannot be downloaded. What you will get out of the update though, are other core updates such as the changes to the “roll lock” in Sonic 1 and 2. A DLC notification button will also appear within the Museum screen that will take you to the platform’s store.
